Let the summer begin...

This weekend felt like summer. We had a blast, very eventful, lots of happenings all around. Lots of heat, fun times, small town magic, etc.

Friday: Joaquin took Alex with some friends to the Springville fest. They had a blast. Alex went on rides and came back with lots of stories.

Saturday: I went to see The Happening with Becky, Kurt, and Cindy. I thought it was great. The others did not concur. We then ran some errands. Came home to find an almost flat tire- rushed to Discount Tire. They close at 5, I got there at 5:30, they still fixed my tire- for free. And were so nice. I love them! (Isn't if funny that we were just talking about them, Misty?) Rushed home to scarf down dinner, rushed to Target for cash, then rushed to Orem Fest to watch Babus in the parade. Went on rides, got cotton candy. Check out Alex's picture! Rushed back to Target to finish errands. Came home- got home at 10?

Cotton Candy - Dave's worst nightmare!

Sunday: Father's Day. Enjoyed the first half of the day with daddy. (Hope you enjoyed your Father's Day) then after church, went to my family's house to celebrate Father's Day and Allie's bday. Wow. Got home at 9:45. We're tired.

Little Dipper

On Sunday, I was talking on the phone to my mom, while Alex had just started eating a banana. He kept asking for dip. Dip? I opened the fridge. He immediately kept pointing to the ketchup. After several attempts of trying to convince him it would be gross, I gave in. I figured, he won't like it. He gets his way, I prove him wrong. It's a win-win. Nope. He loved it. He quietly ate it, dipping in ketchup while I talked on the phone. Eww. It was a win-win.
